Our Story

I am so excited to share my new clothing brand with you and the world, “A Equality Apparel.”  

Working with all age groups of children at the YMCA since I was 15, I experienced many children being treated differently just because of the way they looked, the way they dressed, the way they spoke, what neighborhood they were from, and even the color of their skin. A Equality is to bring awareness to all people. To not treat others less than just because they may look different, dress differently, are from a different area, or speak differently than you.

 

When you wear A Equality Apparel, you will represent The Awareness we should all be concerned about, treating everyone as an Equal. 

 

Throughout my years working with the youth, I have made amazing connections with many children in the community and have seen many positives and negatives in countless aspects in a person's life. I have seen how these small factors in one’s life have altered the way others view, treat, stereotype and stigmatize them. These views can have a crucial impact on the way people end up thinking and viewing their own self worth, especially children. I believe a person should be viewed based on his or her merits and not because of their race or if they wear designer brands or what side of the tracks they were born.
